LIFE be LIFING...You’ve been carrying a lot for a long time. Maybe anxiety, depression, past experiences, or high-stress situations are starting to catch up with you, and it’s getting harder to manage on your own. You might feel stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand or unsure how to move forward. If you’re ready to feel more in control, break unhealthy cycles, and finally have space to focus on yourself, we can work together to help you create clarity, stability, and real, lasting change.
I have 26 years of experience working in an elementary school as a teacher and counselor. I am familiar with the school setting and can help children and parents navigate school situations that include evaluation for learning disabilities, academic testing, organizational skills, time management, course selection for secondary students, executive functioning skills, and peer relationships.
In my time as a counselor, I have helped children in a variety of situations including changes in family dynamics, divorce, blended families, death of a loved one, suicide of a family member, preparation for a funeral, life changes due to illness, abuse, etc.
Hi there! I'm Lauren a queer, neurodivergent woman who is passionate about supporting and empowering members of my communities. I have worked extensively with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, with teens and emerging adults, and with both perpetrators and survivors of domestic violence. I am EMDR trained and work frequently with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues and life transitions. I am currently accepting individual clients ages 15 and up.
Hi, I'm James Greenwald, a licensed professional counselor with 10+ years of experience in both private practice and public mental health services here in North Texas. I'm a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, and my training centers on concepts and skills from dialectical behavioral and family systems models of therapy. I specialize in assisting clients struggling with depression, anxiety, patterns of addiction, life transitions, boundaries, and various levels of trauma recovery.
My journey to counseling began with a career in sales, where I found myself interested in hearing my buyer's stories and truly taking an interest in their lives. I received my MA in Applied Psychology from NYU and have been working in Private Practice since. I work with adults & older teens (16+) who are experiencing anxiety/depression, self-esteem issues, anger management, and previous trauma. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas.
I work hard to create a safe, empathic, and authentic environment. I believe I can best help clients by listening to their story and being a fellow traveler in their lives. I have found a passion for working with a great array of individuals but particularly enjoy working with families, couples, the LGBTQ+ community, and sex therapy. I find the best work I do is simply when I connect with a client. I have my masters from SMU and have done specialized training in Gottman, EFT, and sex therapy.
I work collaboratively with children, tweens, and teens, creating an environment that is fun and nurturing. I believe that the unique individual identity of each child is crucial and works to provide them with the best therapy that allows them to flourish. I use talk therapy, play therapy, and mindfulness in my approach, and I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with ADHD, anxiety, bullying, depression, grief, self-harm, stress, and family conflict.
I earned my Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2003. I had the privilege of starting in the field of sexual abuse/violence, which began my real-life education. I've continued my study of trauma, and in family dynamics. This continues to shape my growth. I have years of experience working in psychiatric hospitals with those struggling with severe mental illness. The one thing that I've learned and want to share is this: people can (and do!) get better.
